Putting aside the question of the relationship between formulaic phraseology and orality, they analyze the metrics of AG texts in an effort to answer the problem of authorship. They find a marked similarity between the Iliad and Odyssey, and also between the Hesiodic corpus and the Homeric Hymns. Based on J.
